“It feels good to be lost in the right direction”
Dharamshala, nestled in the embrace of the Dhauladhar ranges, is where mountain skies and soulful peace meet. With skies painted in hues of blue, mist-kissed peaks, and valleys that glow at dusk, every corner whispers tranquility. Here, vibrant Tibetan culture blends with serene monasteries and lively bazaars. In Dharamshala, nature’s beauty and spirit unite, inviting every visitor to breathe deeply, feel warmly, and linger a little longer.
Dharamshala, cradled in the serene valleys of Himachal Pradesh, is a place where the sky meets the soul. The mountains rise with dignity, cloaked in evergreens and mist, while the skies above stretch wide and blue, often painted with wispy clouds and the occasional silhouette of a soaring eagle. This is where nature’s grandeur converges with human spirit—a town rich in culture and spirituality, nestled amidst the grandeur of the Dhauladhar ranges.
As visitors meander through the town, Dharamshala’s skyways offer views that seem almost unreal. The air feels lighter, fresher, filled with a gentle breeze that carries whispers from the mountain tops. The panorama from every high point—whether from the terraces of McLeod Ganj or the peaks of Triund—gives a sweeping view of lush valleys that change hues with the sun’s journey. At dusk, the skies burst into fiery shades of red and orange, a grand farewell to the day.
Beyond its stunning skies, Dharamshala invites travelers to experience the warmth of Tibetan culture, the calm of ancient monasteries, and the lively hum of local bazaars. It's a place for those seeking more than just sights; it offers peace, connection, and adventure, making every visitor feel part of its timeless beauty. Whether it's paragliding, hiking, or simply watching the clouds float by, Dharamshala is a place that leaves the heart a little fuller and the mind a little quieter.

I have visited Shimla many times and leave with unforgettable moments. Its charming mountains ,chilly and refreshing breeze, pure and pristine streams always fascinate me and make me feel energetic and full of amusement.
Spent 4 days there
I visited Shimla last time with my family and stayed in an Airbnb. Their service was commendable and didn't let us to complain about anything. It was actually a mountain facing property which allowed us to see the dawn of the Himalayas.
Exploring Shimla
The Ridge /Mall Road- our 1st day of this vacation started with exploring mall road, where we visited the historic Christ Church and then the scandal point which has its own interesting history. There are many eating point as well including cafes, bakeries, restaurants ,book stores and other shops for shopping as well.
Jakhoo temple- 2nd day we visited the famous temple devoted to lord Hanuman. It's a quiet conspicuous place which can be seen from far away because of the 108 ft statue of Lord Hanuman.
Kufri and Fagu- 3rd day visit. A worth visiting destination 15 to 16 km away from Shimla. Trip to Shimla feels incomplete If you don't visit here. We visited the zoo here as well which was a fierce as well as exciting experience.
Other local sites - there are other sites also which we must visit :
-Gaiety theater
-Chadwick Fall
-Viceregal lodge
-Indian Institute of Advance studies
-Kali Bari temple and so on...
Local food
We tried Siddu which is stuffed with dryfruits
Tried chole bhature and tea, samosa from Street side.
Local people
People are very simple with the tender demenour and welcoming towards outsiders.
Bringing a souvenir with me:
Lakkar Bazar is a famous place for wooden items. I brought a miniature of Shimla style wooden temple with me.
I would definitely suggest people to visit Shimla If you truly love mountains. It feels so overwhelmed whenever I visit Shimla. I would say ,don't ponder more, just be quick and plan your trip to Shimla and make some indelible memories with your family and friends.
